This is Mia Gordon, Principal at Chapmanville Primary School. Please listen carefully to the following information. Logan County Schools will be conducting an Active Threat Drill tomorrow, Thursday, May 29, 2025. The students and staff here at Chapmanville Primary School will participate in the drill. The purpose of this drill is to ensure our school community and first responders are better prepared in the event of a real threat. Please have a conversation with your child that this is simply a drill and there is no reason to be frightened; however, they should take the drill very seriously. During this time, school buildings may be locked down and no one will be allowed to sign in or out. Phone calls to the school may also go unanswered during the drill. At the conclusion of the drill, parents/ guardians will be notified, and all schools will return to normal operating procedures. We want to thank Logan County Schools and our first responders for making school safety a top priority. Please visit our school Facebook page or our school webpage for more information regarding this matter.
